We arrived this afternoon at Barradale Rest Stop which will be our over night stop tonight. Just off the highway, it's not nearly as picturesque as the previous two nights but we did get a laugh after dark when the caravan became surrounded by a herd of wild cows! (Well they could have been buffalo I suppose, but it was dark and they were making such a racquet I was a bit scared to venture too far to investigate!)

Gladstone Camp Ground to Barradale
From Gladstone we travelled to Carnarvon where we stopped to let the kids play at an awesome playground while we stocked up on supplies and tried to get connected to the web. (I now realise Optus has NO SIGNAL ANYWHERE!!) So thanks to Jac and Ian we are now sorted out with a dongle (love that word) and we're back online!
The long hours in the car are being passed away with learning the 1, 2, 3 and 4 times tables, and Stage 1, 2 and 3 spelling lists. Nobody gets lollies without first correctly answering questions. We were very impressed when Fletch knew the name of Aunty Chrissy's dog! (Jade)
