Farewell the Mighty Murray

All good things must come to an end and so it was that we came to the end of an incredibly relaxing week celebrating Bruce's birthday and cruising the Murray River on a luxurious house boat.

We made the most of the last couple of days,

With a hearty cooked breakfast,

Some fun in the spa,

And perhaps a little too many bubbles?
(yup a whole bottle consumed all by myself before 2pm!!)

Nevertheless, on Monday morning a somewhat less frivolous mood swept through the rooms as we packed up our bags and headed to the dock.

Even the wildlife came by to give us a cheerio...

Soon enough the caravan was hitched up and the big yellow taxi came to take the Johnstons away.

And the tears flowed freely!

Although we had just completed a week long Rope Swing Tour of the Murray River it can't be denied that we hadn't been to a playground for more than a week.  So, unsurprisingly, our first stop after leaving Moama was Australia's biggest adventure playground in Shepparton.  SPC Kidstown is a world-class, child-orientated, adventure playground designed to entertain, stimulate and delight kids of all ages.

Jack and Jarrah (ok, and Bruce and I) had loads of fun.  Unfortunately, Fletch slept through the whole experience, being utterly exhausted from our week long rave party on the houseboat.

By mid afternoon, we had arrived in the sleepy little hamlet of Glenrowan, where Jarrah finally managed to wriggle out that loose tooth.

And so our next adventure begins...

NB:  By all reports Max was denied coffee on the return journey, thus returning safely to Perth with the rest of the family.
