Goofing off at Cairns beaches

A change of scenery and temperature on this morning's run...

Yup, it's as peaceful as it looks.  This morning my watch stopped working.  Bruce's stopped working two weeks ago.  A sign, perhaps, that time has become meaningless to us!

We spent part of the morning wandering along the jetty across from the caravan park (If you look closely you can almost see our caravan in the background.)

And the rest of it playing soccer and volleyball and burying each other and generally goofing off on the beautiful Palm Cove beach!

After lunch we headed into Cairns for a bit of shopping and a visit to Muddy's playground on the famous Cairns Esplanade.  I've got to admit as far as playgrounds go, this one is pretty awesome, with water play areas, a flying fox, sound chimes, track ride, rope bridge, slides, play houses, story telling areas, see-saw, trick track and puzzle games.

Oh, and the coffee was great, too.
